The Great Dodecahedron

Design for the 2015 CD EP by Soleil Noir. The visual concept is derived from the idea of visual glitches. Glitches are a subject that has really caught my attention and as we were looking for something quite abstract for this EP, I figured it was a rather fitting concept.

The EP is called “The Great Dodecahedron” referring to both the geometrical shape but also a philosophical/mystical concept that this shape is the actual shape of our universe. We didn’t want to put something geometric on the cover this time around so the idea of using something abstract, which has some some tangible quality to it seemed more appropriate. The result is a rather ethereal visual, somewhere between a data processing error, and a strange otherworldly landscape.
