Return of the Artfreak

Sometime in 2013 (I think) I opened up my studio to the MUDAM’s Artfreak visits (a series of events for teenagers to introduce them to the various careers in art and design) and so I was asked to create the cover illustration for the leaflet/poster. I had the idea to illustrate the “art freak” as this kind of retro looking monster, wielding various art utensils and looking completely less than menacing. As the Artfreak program was just in its second or third season, I thought it would be quite funny to give it the unofficial title “Return of the Artfreak”. (Which was followed the year after by “Artfreak strikes again”)
